Project Description

Equilibrium is an exploration of the balance between two extremes; in this case, the harmonious contrast between the rigid geometrical structure of Man, and the fluidity and seamless flow of Nature. In this series, Equilibrium is an entirely organic process, as each step further is driven by the pull of its natural course.  The fabrics’ three dimensional pattern is shaped and preserved by steaming the soft fabric in a complex origami-like tessellation mold. Creating an illuminable, wearable sculpture that is both fluid yet rigid – existing as a bridge between two opposites.
