Product Design – Eugene Tan Ronghui
This project focuses on developing a bicycle that is optimised for bike sharing in NTU. Some key features of the bike include low maintenance components, easy and optimised adjustability, anti-theft considerations, as well as the ability to cater to the average needs of students on campus. Its aim is ultimately geared towards easing the problem of lack of transportation around campus during peak periods or past midnight. An additional benefit is to encourage healthier living among the students.
Eugene Tan Ronghui is a Singaporean-based product designer who has a keen interest in building and assembling things from a young age. This interest evolved over the years, together with his love for innovative design as well as keeping fit, landing him in the realm of racing bicycles. Apart from appreciating the balance of art and science that goes into every racing bicycle, he enjoys tweaking and test riding his own creations.
