About

Joyene has always had an interest in stories from a young age, eagerly telling them to keen listeners. Her love for stories evolved into a love for theatre and subsequently, a love for filmmaking. Producing, directing and writing her own short film has been the hardest, yet most rewarding thing she’s ever done in her short career as a filmmaker. As someone who has always been a writer, Joyene draws inspiration from her own life, as well as those of the people around her.

On top of pursuing a career in filmmaking, Joyene is also an avid sportswoman. She is currently part of the Singapore National Hockey team, training for the SEA Games 2015.
