A 2.5D painterly mograph animation that is meant to promote the book of the same title, A Tale For the Time Being by Canadian-American novelist, Ruth Ozeki. In the book, Ruth discovers a Hello Kitty lunchbox washed up on the shore of her beach home. Within it lies a diary that expresses the hopes and dreams of a young girl. She suspects it might have arrived on a drifting debris from the 2011 tsunami. With every turn of the page, she is sucked deeper into an enchanting mystery.

About

Shawn aspires to be a professional, motion graphic designer. Although his main interest is in 2D motion design, he also experiments widely with other forms of motion design such as 2.5D and 3D. During his free time, he enjoys streaming and watching videos with motion graphic content as well as trying out online tutorials for practise.
