Interhood

The travel trend has changed in recent years with more tourists finding interest in visiting places away from the city and into lesser-known locations of countries. For Singapore, these places would include the heartlands, which has not received much attention from the tourism industry.

Aside from acting as a travel app displaying locations and places, Interhood aims to bring tourists into the heartlands through a “Singaporean bucket list” to aid tourists in the exploration of the heartlands. These bucket lists help to narrow down their exploration to authentic Singaporean places and activities. Tourists can also get recommendations from the people who know the heartlands the best – the locals.

Through the use of the app, the project aims to get tourists into the heartlands where they will get first-hand experience of authentic local flavours and culture while also immersing themselves in the local life.
