Nic touches things. He often explores the contrast between the haptic and tactile nature of objects, pitting what the eye perceives against what the skin receives by challenging the structural and aesthetical nature of materials. The results are typically sculptural pieces with illusionary textures.
Nic is an eclectic mix. After six generations of Pan-Asiatic heritage and four years as a zookeeper, Nic. frequently flirts with culture, nature and its theories for inspiration and musings. His designs typically reflect his rojak or cocktail-ness in one way or another, be it through material, treatment or process.
