Sim Peng Jun, Benjamin

Benjamin looks into traditions and cultures that he feels are gradually being forsaken in modern times. His works focuses on bringing back these fading elements through reinvention; changing the form yet keeping its essence, to appeal and thereby achieve preservation. He believes that as we celebrate new possibilities, we should also aim to bridge them with existing design cultures to strive for innovation and improve solutions. Using installation works, he hopes to inspire and communicate his beliefs and ideas.
