A documentation of an Abui folktale, the Mon Mot Mon, a legendary snake that consumed the inhabitants of an entire village. Recounted by four interviewees, the folktale comes to life as part of history and memory, revealing dark messages of foreboding and forethought.

About

Dang Mai Trang is an aspiring Vietnamese filmmaker based in Singapore. She specializes in scriptwriting, directing and editing. She has been actively involved in short-film projects, including “Chasing Tomorrow” – Cathay Motion Picture Awards 2013 finalist. Trang wrote and directed her first short film “The Fifth” (2012) in Singapore, followed by “Split” (2013) in Germany, and “Windless Meadow” (2014), also in Singapore.
