Interactive Media – Diana Toh
42
Project Description
42 is an ongoing research project that is aimed at portraying Singapore-based artist Diana Toh (1990-2015)’s concept of the world by drawing from her inner psyche’s relations to the external. Curated in the form of a “memory theatre”, based on wunderkammers, her thoughts are deconstructed and compartmentalised across various mediums.

About
Diana Toh (1990-2015) has been regarded as the forerunner of the virtual awkwardness movement, where social awkwardness has been observed to be translated into the digital realm. In synchronicity with Randall Packer’s Open Source Studio, she performed diverse artistic approaches, which challenges her bodily existence. Due to her self-enforced confinement in an isolation cell/studio, her patois remains enigmatic geographically, with limited access to her motivations and their context.
