Roy is a hot-tempered People’s Republic of China (PRC) immigrant who works at a 24-hour café at the airport. One night, he meets Kim, a beautiful Singaporean stewardess with a strange request for him. Through this single encounter, the two of them share an unlikely connection that will change both their perceptions of race and social statuses.

About

Martin is an aspiring filmmaker. He first used film as his way of documenting different phases in his life, experiences and treasured memories. Recently, his focus has shifted to the potential for stories as commentary. His magic realist short film “三秒忠 (3 Seconds)” was selected for the Singapore Panorama section at the 25th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) 2014.

Martin was privileged to have been selected for the Film Leaders Incubator ASEAN Filmmakers’ Program (FLY), which consists of workshops by directors such as Aditya Assarat and Bae Chang-ho. The workshops were held in South Korea, Thailand and Japan. These experiences have broadened his horizons and will invariably have an impact on his filmmaking.
