Ra the Sun-god came down to Earth for the first time and was amazed by its beauty.
However, everything he touches turns into ash and the longer he stayed the more Earth started to burn, leaving nothing but dust behind. Making Ra devasted.
The dust he created then started to manifest more shadows and formed the Serpent of darkness, Apep. Desperate Ra then ran to Thoth for help.
Thoth the Moon-god told Ra that to fix the mess that he has created, he would have to go back into the sky and defeat Apep. After Ra defected Apep, the beauty of Earth started to flourish again.
