Shyan is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking. He has a keen interest in film directing and cinematography. He strongly believes that human emotions exist in many subtle degrees and hopes to evoke these emotions through his works.
Formally trained in photography, he is adept in storytelling through images. Advancing into the world of moving images, he is excited with the dimensionality films can provide him.
His works have been showcased in local and international festivals, including the Singapore Arts Festival 2011, Singapore Short Film Awards 2012, Boston LGBT Film Festival 2012 and Singapore Film Festival Perth 2012.
