Tan Jingliang

Jingliang is a filmmaker and multimedia artist well versed with the language of both the still and moving image, with her influences strongly grounded by her roots in the fine arts. A spontaneous and instinct-driven person in most of her artistic endeavours, her work is primarily inspired by subject matter concerned with alienation, wildness, impermanence, loneliness, the ineffable quality of felt emotions and the limitations of art and language in communicating them. Her favourite writers are William James and Jack Kerouac.
