Project Description: The HDB void deck is a communal space designed to host recreational as well as cultural activities for residents. Over the years, as a result of modernization and changes in the societal landscape, the historical and social significance of the void deck is gradually disappearing.

Downstairs is a project that aims to increase awareness on the social significance of void decks amongst Singaporean youths by archiving the everyday memories and activities of home at void decks as experienced by a generation prior to them.
