TOUCH (tʌtʃ): An inquiry into the tactile sense

Project Genre: Print and Experiential Installation

Project Description: This project presents an inquiry and exploration of the tactile sense that has been gradually losing significance in our everyday life. It investigates four aspects of touch;

1. Fading touch / the deterioration of the senses,
2. Physical touch / how touch is perceived,
3. Accepted touch / limitations of touch in social and cultural norms and
4. Meaningful touch / touch as a means of connection.

The intention is for users to rediscover and reencounter their sense of touch and ultimately, be able to take away a deeper understanding of the role of touch in the world we live in today.
