Inspired by Dutch still lifes, this series cheekily explores the notion of immortality. Memento mori paintings remind viewers of the brevity of human life. By replacing these items with plastic, I subvert these aesthetic conventions. After all, plastic takes a long time to decompose, and are in a way, immortal.
