STEAM Imaging II Award Recipient: In Vivo begins by asking what consciousness means through observation of plants, exploring the possibility of an organism—which neither speaks nor moves—expressing itself via self-images controlled by its own physiological dynamics. By using man-made technology on plants, the work attempts to understand consciousness in plants as a methodology to understand humanity.
