life in pixels: an autobiographical work-in-progress

Project Genre: Mixed Media Installation

Project Description: An ongoing research of self-documentation through an experimental and interdisciplinary approach inspired by the literary genre of bildungsroman, using source material from the artist’s personal blog, and visualising the raw data that is the unedited voice of youth. The outcome maps out this experiential and autobiographical content of writing and found images. life in pixels also encompasses the understanding of identity and the art-making process in the age of the Internet. Through this, the artist also hopes to convey the transient nature of information and memories on a virtual space and to encourage a discourse on the impact of living in a technology-saturated society.
